Will you be Christ’s–or Satan’s?

(Samuel Davies, “The Christian Feast“)

Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve!” Joshua 24:15

I would now particularly address the young people here present. Will you be Christ’s–or Satan’s? You cannot avoid choosing one or the other for your master; for not positively choosing Christ–is virtually choosing the devil for your master, and hell for your eternal home!

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it!” Matthew 7:13-14

  1. Unbelievable silliness!

Nature produces individuals that have characteristics lying anywhere in various spectrums, from Brilliant to Thick – Jovial to Morose – Benign to Sadistic – Hetero to Homo – ad inf – & will continue to do so.

The less desirable of these characteristics are not chosen by A particular person, nor are any of these traits necessarily reversible. A lot reside for the whole of life. If you’re unfortunate, bad luck!

Why does this happen? The blame lies at the door of Nature – or God, if your mind does not follow the broad road of common sense.

Do not kid yourself – No one is or ever will be, immaculate!

Those gifted with conscience & a degree of ‘normalcy’ just have to bear with the ill-starred & scallywags that abound; amongst the latter, religious ‘Con-Men’ enjoying a very comfortable living with their pretentious & ‘Divine’ prognostications.

  2. A further thought – As we approach the end of our existence on this planet, our destination is quite apparent.

If we use our conscience & be honest, a MUCH more likely destination, & what we can only regard as INEVITABLE, is the very serene & peaceful state of OBLIVION.

HEAVEN & HELL are mere fantasies of our fertile minds.
